Sheets who is known as a veteran of auctions for storage and a well-known personality has been a prominent protagonist since the show's debut in 2010. Together with his son Brandon Sheets, he participates on the show. The show features the auction of unclaimed items from storage lockers that are not been paid rent for three months. A skilled hunter for storage, Sheets decided to try his luck at the series. Although he's not as proficient in storage hunting as his father, Brandon is the character he plays with on the show. Darrell is known as "The Gambler" and doesn't shy away of taking risks when bidding. Darrell is an extremely skilled storage hunter, thanks to his willingness to take the risk. Being part of the 'Storage Wars' has brought plenty of publicity to this previously undiscovered person and brought him a significant online following too.
