Kat Dennings (n e Katherine Victoria Litwack) was born on the 13th day of June, 1986 from Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania. Ellen Dennings who is Kat's mother, is a writer and speech therapy. Her father Gerald is a college prof and molecular biologist. Dennings is the youngest of five and grew up in an orthodox Jewish family. Dennings went through homeschooling and only attended school for a brief period. Because she was trying to pursue acting from very young it was logical to have her homeschooled. the most sense as she had the ability to complete high school at the age of 14. When she was nine years old when she began acting in commercials. Her family relocated in Los Angeles after she graduated high school to allow her to pursue acting. Kat Dennings, as she was then known started auditioning. Kat Dennings' acting debut came after her move to LA after appearing in the HBO series "Sex and the City" in the year 2000.
